Zebrahead is a California based punk-rap band. The band hails from The Orange County and was formed in 1996. The band did not conform to the the local ska-punk trend. They developed their own identity by blending hip hop tunes into their music.
The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Justin Mauriello, bassist Ben Osmundson, guitarist Greg Bergdorf and drummer Ed Udhus. The band have also been inspired by outfits like Fugazi and the Descendants. To develop that distinct hip hop sound the band recruited rapper Ali Tabatabaee into their lineup. The band released their first EP, "Yellow" on the Dr. Dream label in 1998.
