Zakir Hussain is a world renowned table player and musician. He has elevated Indian percussion music to another level. Zakir Hussain is the prodigial son of Legendary tabla player, Ustad Allah Rakha. Zakir Hussain has performed on the soundtracks of many Hollywood motion pictures like Apocalypse Now!, In Custody and Little Buddha. He was also nominated at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival for an award, as composer and music director of the film, Heat and Dust.
