Young The Giant Tickets for Sale
Young the Giant is back out on tour in 2012, continuing the celebration of the self-titled album. The album has only recently become available for purchase in person. This move from purely digital sales to record store sales follows the proven success of singles like "Cough Syrup" and "My Body". Young the Giant tickets are also now available to see the group during the busy summer concert schedule.
Gadhia and the guys will be embarking on an international tour taking them through Europe and back to North America, where a smattering of summer music festival dates and headlining concert performances will drive the group to return to the studio to record a second album. Among these summer festivals is Bonnaroo, the Hangout Music Festival, Summerfest, and the Firefly Festival.
Young the Giant is now comprised of Sameer Gadhia, Jacob Tilly, Eric Cannata, Payam Doostzadeh, and Francois Comtois. This lineup is drastically different from the original four who banded together as the Jakes. Only Sameer Gadhia, the lead singer, and Jacob Tilley, the guitarist, remain on the roster. The journey from then to now has taken Young the Giant from Irvine, California to indie rock fame, complete with a name change.
As the Jakes, the group had enjoyed a fair measure of success. They played the South by Southwest music festival in 2009 and had the sing "Texas Tea" played during an episode of The Real World: Brooklyn. The departure of keyboardist Ehson Hashemian inspired a change in identity, and The Jakes became Young the Giant in December 2009. A name changed proved fortuitous, as the song "Cough Syrup" became a local hit in Los Angeles and the quintet signed with Roadrunner Records. By 2010 the band had become a major supporting act for indie rock acts like Minus the Bear, Steel Train, Neon Trees, and New Politics. "My Body" became a national radio hit and appearances on late night television followed.
Accolades and critical appreciation for Young the Giant set the debut eponymous album up for rampant chart success. The album peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200 and number 83 in the UK. The album continued to yield hit songs as well, with "Apartment" reaching the radio waves in 2012. Once again Young the Giant is expected to out in force and OnlineSeats has the Young the Giant concert tickets to catch this group live during that tour schedule.
