Virginia Coalition Tickets for Sale

Virginia Coalition is a rock band that was formed when four friends met in the T.C. Williams High School music program. It consists of singer Andrew Poliakoff, drummer John Patrick and multi-instrumentalists Jarrett Nicolay and Paul Ottinger. In 1998, the band released their debut album, "The Colors of the Sound." The album was a moderate hit and was followed by "Townburg" in 2000, this time round the album was a huge hit.

Unlike other bands, every member of the band can play almost every instrument. They all sing, play and write songs. It is this unique collaborative style that is reflected in their melodic and eccentric songs that have made this band stand out. Band member Jarrett Nicolay says "everybody writes and plays most instruments; we are never at a loss for new material,"he adds, "it is also great that we can all contribute to making the songs stage ready.'"

The hit of their second album helped the band build a broader fan base through the Midwest and East Coast. Virginia Coalition's third release, "Rock & Roll Party" was picked up by KOCH records for distribution and made it to the Billboard's Internet chart.

The band won their first silverware when they received the Reader's Choice Award in the category of best band in Washington, D.C in August 2003. Their next album "Ok To Go" released in September 2004 under the independent label bluhammock.
