The Government of the People's Republic of China owns the stadium. Gu Yonghui designed the stadium and 18,000 is the seating capacity of the field. It covers an area of 63,000 square meters. Beijing Wukesong Cultural & Sports Co. Ltd. constructed the stadium. Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. Ltd., Zhongguancun CENCONS Group, Beijing Urban Construction Co. Ltd., Haidian State-owned Assets Investment Co. Ltd and the Tianhong Group are the shareholders.

A baseball stadium known as the Wukesong Baseball Field is situated just next to the Wukesong Indoor Stadium, at the Wukesong Culture and Sports Center in Beijing, China. The venue will play host to baseball events in the 2008 Summer Olympics. The filed has a land area of 12,000 square meters. It has a seating capacity for 15,000 spectators that includes 1 training field and 2 competition fields. The stadium played host to two games between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers known as the MLB China Series in March of the year 2008. The game marked the first Major League Baseball team playing in China.
