Wells Fargo Arena is a multi purpose indoor arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The opening of the arena was on July 12, 2005, with a public dedication ceremony, and the first event there was Tony Hawk’s Boom–Boom Huck Jam, on July,14 and the first concert was held on July, 18. The construction of this arena costed $99 million, with very good design and great sight from every seat. The venue was named after title sponsor Wells Fargo Financial Services.

Wells Fargo Arena is the home of Iowa Energy D-League team, Iowa Choops American Hockey League and the Iowa Barnstormers af2. Since 2006, the state high school wrestling and basketball tournaments have been held in the arena. It has 15,181 seats for ice hockey, 16,980 for center–stage concerts, 16,285 for end–stage concerts, and 16,110 for basketball games.

Also the venue features the 180 seat restaurant, the Principal River’s Edge Restaurant. From the restaurant you can see the Iowa State Capitol and the Des Moines River. Also Wells Fargo Arena provides 36 corporate suites, 20 loge boxes and 600 club seats and there are available hotels with Skywalk access to Wells Fargo Arena.
