The U.S. Bank Arena is an indoor venue situated in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The arena was opened in the year 1975. Owned by Nederlander Cincinnati, the stadium has a capacity of about 17,000 seats for basketball, 12,823 seats for arena football and 12,823 seats for hockey. It was earlier known as the Riverfront Coliseum and later as the Crown and the Firstar Center. The arena was home to the Cincinnati Stingers of the WHA from the years 1975 to 1979. The venue hosted minor-league hockey matches and various concerts, tennis tournaments, political rallies, a Billy Graham Crusade, figure skating and several other events. It played host to the men's basketball program of the University of Cincinnati, for a very long time. The venue was used from its completion till the year 1989. The building underwent a makeover in the year 1997. The main tenant is the Cincinnati Cyclones franchise of the East Coast Hockey League.

A concert by the Allman Brothers was also conducted at the arena. Artistes like Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin have performed in the venue. The arena also played host to the 1979 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and later in the year 1987, NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, then the 1988 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and later in the year 1992 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. The 1997 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Final Four and the 1996 men's Division I hockey Frozen Four was also held at the arena. Several others matches were conducted in the arena. The year 2002 and 2004 Conference USA men's basketball tournaments and in the year 2005, the Atlantic Ten Conference was conducted. The arena has also hosted various WWE programs. The first World Wrestling Entertainment Cyber Sunday pay-per-view was conducted in the year 2006. The Ultimate Fighting Championship's UFC 77 pay-per-view was held on 20th October 20, in the year 2007.
