The Tropicana Casino and Resort Atlantic City is a very famous and renowned casino located at Brighton Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This casino-cum-hotel was earlier owned by Adamar of New Jersey, which is a subsidiary of Columbia Sussex Corporation. But in the year 2007, its charge was handed over to a trustee after the Casino Control Commission denied the renewal of Tropicana’s gaming license.

Initially the Ramada Inns Corporation brought the concept of Tropicana in the 1980s. Soon the process of construction began and it was finally built on the former site of the Ambassador Hotel. The company had to pay around $20 million for the old Ambassador Hotel in Atlantic City and then they decided to announce their plans that they would renovate the entire structure and would build a fully-furnished 546 room hotel as well as a 60,000 square foot casino along with other marvelous facilities like a 1,200 seat dinner theater, 1,000 seat ballroom as well as a lot of other public facilities.

This resort is the largest hotel in New Jersey as it is geared up with 2,125 rooms as well as a 148,000-ft² casino. Currently, it has been announced that an additional “1,000 hotel rooms” will be constructed in an all-together new tower that will give rise to a unique infrastructure of a "hotel-within-a-hotel" along with a boutique feeling.
