Roy Thomson Hall Roy Thomson Hall is a performance venue located in Toronto, Ontario. It was opened in 1982. This venue is home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Roy Thomson Hall is one of the world's finest concert halls possessing acoustic excellence and good sight lines. The total seating capacity of the Roy Thomson Hall is approximately 2,800 visitors divided in three seating levels. Tickets can be purchased at the box office located at the East side entrance of the Hall. Cameras and audio recordings devices are not allowed in the venue. The Hall was constructed by the Canadian architects Arthur Erickson and Mather and Haldenby.

The total cost of the construction work of this curved glass structure was $57 million. On June 21, 1988 the closing ceremony of the International Economic Summit was taken here. On October 31, 1984 Queen Elizabeth II attended on a concert of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. This venue is also a home of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Great names as Liza Minnelli and John Legend are on the repertoire of this venue. Countless performers have performed at Roy Thomson Hall, including Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Kiri Te Kanawa, Nigel Kennedy, Anne Murray Yo-Yo Ma and Jessye Norman were on the stage of this venue.
