Rangers Ballpark In Arlington The Rangers Park in Arlington is a ballpark located at 1000 Ballpark Way in Arlington, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. It was inaugurated on 1st April, 1994, though the construction work began on 2nd April, 1992. a total of $191 million were spent in its construction. Arlington Sports Facilities Development Authority is the present owner of the ballpark. It has a seating capacity of r 49,115 spectators. Since its opening, it was known as "The Ballpark in Arlington." Even today it is commonly referred to as “The Ballpark.” On 7th May, 2004, Ameriquest, United States's leading wholesale sub prime and predatory lenders, purchased its naming rights and named it Ameriquest Field in Arlington. Even after the name was changed, it was still popularly known as "The Ballpark" or "The Temple." But on 19th March, 2007, the relationship with the Ameriquest, came to an end and the stadium was given its present name.

The structure of the ballpark was designed by David M. Schwarz Architectural Services of Washington, D.C. The stadium was constructed to replace the nearby Arlington Stadium. At present, the ballpark serves as a home to the American League's Texas Rangers, and the Legends of the Game Baseball Museum. It hosted the year 1995 MLB All-Star Game. On 12th June, 1997, it also played host to the first regular season inter league game, when the Rangers played the San Francisco Giants. The first official game of the Texas Rangers was played on 11th April, 1994 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
