Nassau Coliseum The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, also referred to as The Coliseum is a versatile indoor sports center, built in 1972 in Uniondale, New York, owned by Nassau County, New York and in charge of operations is SMG Management, a company that deals with managing sports facilities. With a $31 million bill for its construction, the Coliseum today provides the grounds for the home games of the New York Islanders from the NHL, and the New York Dragons from the AFL, and can assure the accommodation of 16,234 for ice sports.

The center has a rich history of hosting various types of events throughout the years that only increased its popularity and profitability, even though today it is regarded as one of the older arenas that are not keeping up with the modern standards. From fighting related events, SuperSlam 2002 took place there, followed by other WWE supported events such as RAW, SmackDown and Velocity organized in 2008.

In addition to that, the hosting history includes concerts of famous performers like Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd and The Wall. Finally, as a more notable event we must include the hosting of the movie crew shooting “Music and lyrics” in 2007, where several scenes of the movie were made inside the coliseum.
