The Kyle Field is a football stadium that is located on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. It is also known as The Home of the 12th Man. It was inaugurated in the year 1927. A total of $345,000 were spent in its construction. The stadium has a seating capacity for spectators. It is owned and operated by Texas A&M University. At present, Key Field is the largest football ground in the State of Texas. It is so named in the honor of Edwin Jackson Kyle, an 1899 graduate of Texas A&M and professor of horticulture. He contributed a lot in the building of this stadium by using $650 of his own money. Certain plans have been made, though not yet executed, to expand the Field, which will then enhance its capacity to 115,000 seats.

It is considered as one of the most browbeating college football stadiums in the nation. The Sporting News ranked it as the fourth best stadium in the nation. with a perfect score in three categories (atmosphere, tradition, and fans). Texas A&M has set up the best home records with 31 straight wins at Kyle Field from the year1990 to 1995 and 22 wins from the year 1996 to 2000. One of the most notable event at the Field was on 26th November, 1999, when the Aggies beat the fifth-ranked Texas Longhorns 20-16 in an emotional comeback game before a then-record crowd of 86,128. Summer training camps are also organized at the Field for the young athletes. Many of Texas high school football playoff games are also held in the stadium. It also serves as the home to the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets annual Parent's Weekend Review and Final Review. The most popular game of the Vikings/Tigers football season, the "Cross-Town Showdown" is also hosted in the field.
