Kauffman Stadium is a Baseball stadium that is situated in Kansas City, Missouri. It is the official stadium for the Kansas City Royals of the American Major League. In collaboration with Arrowhead Stadium, which is the official playing ground of the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs, it also forms a part of the Truman Sports Complex. The venue was named as Kauffman Stadium in honor of Ewing Kauffman since the year 1993. The stadium was built for the sole purpose of playing baseball during those times when the construction of a multi sports "cookie-cutter" stadium was a very common activity. Kauffman Stadium is often likened with the Dodger Stadium as one of the best examples of modernist stadium designs.

It has been 35 years since the stadium has been constructed, which makes it the eighth-oldest stadium in major-league baseball. A huge 250 million dollar project has been invested for the renovation task of the stadium. The task is scheduled to complete in the year 2009. The stadium was the only baseball facility that was built in the majors, between the years 1962 and 1992.
