General Motors Place is an indoor arena located at 800 Griffiths Way in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is home of the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. The arena was formerly home to the Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA and the Vancouver Ravens of the NLL. It was opened in 1995, owned and operated by Canucks Sports and Entertainment, designed by Brisbin, Brook and Beynon at a cost of C$160 million with capacity of 18,630 for ice hockey, 19,193 for basketball and 14,000 for concerts.

The arena has 88 luxury suites, 12 hospitality suites, and 2,195 club seats and it replaced the Pacific Coliseum as the main venue for events in Vancouver. General Motors Place was upgraded with a ProAd LED ribbon board encircling the upper bowl and shortly thereafter with a $5 million Daktronics ProStar LED scoreboard in mid-2006. It is one of the largest video displays in the NHL, measuring 13.5 feet by 24 feet they are capable of displaying widescreen images in 14-bit colors.

There are plans for this building to be energy efficient and environmentally sustainable, to have the concourse of the stadium to directly join to the lobby of the tower. The arena has hosted a lot of major events like the Bryan Adams concert, 1996 World Cup of Hockey, the 1998 NBA Draft, the 2001 World Figure Skating Championships, U2 2005 Vertigo Tour and many other events.
