The Bradley Center is an indoor arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is a modern replacement of its current cross-street neighbor The MECCA which is currently named the U.S. Cellular Arena, built in 1950, and the Bradley Center is home of the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA, the Marquette University men's basketball team, and the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL, and from 1988-2003 was the former home of the Milwaukee Wave of the MISL, the Milwaukee Mustangs of the AFL and the Badger Hockey Showdown.
The arena was opened on October 1, 1988, it is owned by State of Wisconsin and operated by Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation. The designer was HOK Sports and the capacity is 20,000 for concerts 18,717 for NBA games and 17,800 for Ice hockey. The Bradley Center is currently the 5th oldest active NBA arena, despite being one of the premier NBA facilities, because of the lack of modern amenities such as club seating and executive boxes. In 2008 the Bradley Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The arena hosted the Frozen Four and the Great Midwest Conference men's basketball tournament. On March 26, 1999 Celine Dion graced the arena, one of the most popular concerts at this arena, and also Gwen Stefani was going to appear at the arena on June 7, 2007 for The Sweet Escape Tour concert but the concert was cancelled.
