The Bank Atlantic Center is an indoor arena located at 1, Panther Pkwy, Sunrise, Florida close to the popular Sawgrass Mills Mall. It was inaugurated on 3rd October 1998. Broward County is the owner of this arena. A well-known architect, Ellerbe Becket designed this building. A total of $185 million was spent in its construction.

The arena is used for basketball and hockey games and also for various concerts. For basketball it has a capacity for 20,737 spectators and for hockey 19,250 spectators. The seating capacity for the center-stage concerts consists of 22,457 seats and for the end-stage concerts, its capacity lies between 15,207 and 21,371 seats. The arena is equipped with 70 suites. Extending over 650 square feet, the suites are considered the largest in the country for this type of facility. The Bank Atlantic Center is equipped with abundant parking space for the spectators who come from far and wide. Including the general parking, garage, club seat parking etc. there are in total 7,045 parking spaces. The Center also comprises of food and novelty concessions for the refreshment of the people. There are three food courts and Panthetland retail at Plaza level and at Mezzanine Level, in addition to 3 Food Courts; there are two points of Purchase Kiosks.

At present the arena serves as the home to the Florida Panthers of the NHL. Before this, it was home to the Florida Pit Bulls of the ABA and the Florida Bobcats of the AFL in the years 1998-2001 along with the only season of the Florida ThunderCats. It has also hosted the 2003 NHL All-Star Game and the 2005-2006 ABA All-Star game. Several other notable events are also conducted in this arena. For instance, U2 started their Elevation Tour here in the year 2001 and Guns N' Roses started their 2006/2007 North American "Chinese Democracy" tour in this arena on 24th October, 2006.
