At&t Park AT&T Park is an outdoor and open ballpark, which is the official home to the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. The park also plays host to the Emerald Bowl, a college football bowl game that is held annually. It is situated at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in the neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Earlier, it was known as the SBC Park and Pacific Bell Park, but later it was officially renamed as the AT&T Park in the year 2006. In the year 2005, a collaboration was done between SBC Communications as well as AT&T Corp., which were solely responsible for the current name of the venue.

The opening series was held against the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Giants were swept away in three games. The series took place from April 11-13 in the year 2000. The Giants lost the first game by a narrow margin of 6-5, as the game featured three home runs from the Dodgers' Kevin Elster.

The ballpark has seen its share of a wide range of historic events in just a few years of its existence. One of the primary reasons can be the presence of veteran Giants outfielder Barry Bonds as he had his 500th home run at the Pacific Bell Park on April 17th, in the year 2001. It was not very far away when he hit his 600th home career run at the park. It all happened in the year 2002. He hit his 715th home run and achieved the second position on the all-time list on May 26th, 2006. He achieved the first position very soon when he hit his 756th home run and broke the record of Hank Aaron in the year 2007.
