The Aspen Festival is a world-famous classical music festival that was founded in the year 1949. It is famous for presenting world-class music in an all-together intimate as well as small-town setting. It acts as a very popular premier ground for the sole purpose of providing training to young adult musicians. The festival was founded by a group of intellectuals as well as visionaries namely Elizabeth and Walter Paepcke of Chicago. The festival provides a very fine combination of art as well as nature, which further initiates the growth of the human spirit. The festival is held in a big way as more than 350 musical events, which are related with the classical genre are held over the course of 9 weeks every summer, starting from the month of June and ending in August. The festival features the performance by five on-site orchestras, including the chamber music, opera, contemporary music, events related to children's performances, lectures, as well as a lot of discussions.
