Amway Arena (Formerly Td Waterhouse Centre) - Venue Tickets, Schedules, Seating Charts, and Information

Amway Arena is the home of the Orlando Magic of the NBA, Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League and the Orlando Sharks of the Major Indoor Soccer League. The arena was opened on January 29, 1989, is owned by City of Orlando, and its operator is Orlando Centroplex. The construction was completed in 1989 and the costs were $98 million, the architect was Lloyd Jones Philpot; Cambridge Seven, and the arena seats 17,519 for basketball and has 26 luxury suites. In 1999, TD Waterhouse, purchased naming rights to the Orlando Arena and named the venue the TD Waterhouse Centre. On November 30, 2006 the naming rights expired and TD Ameritrade, which bought TD Waterhouse chose not to renew them, so before the new naming rights contract was signed the venue was known as "The Arena in Orlando". Amway became the new sponsor and renamed the building as the Amway Arena.

The arena was former home of the IHL's Orlando Solar Bears and the RHI's Orlando Jackals, and is used for entertainment events, like large rock concerts. The facility was "Arena of the Year" in 1991 and was also nominated for "Best Indoor Concert Venue" in the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. On February 9, 1992 was held the 42nd annual NBA All-Star Game and the Tampa Bay Lightning played five of their home games during the 1993–94 NHL season. WWE will host ECW and Friday Night Smackdown at the arena on November 4th, 2008, and the next dey Tina Turner will rock the arena for her Tina: Live in Concert Tour.
