American Airlines Center - Venue Tickets, Schedules, Seating Charts, and Information

The American Airlines Center is a multi purpose arena located at 2500, Victory Avenue in the Victory Park neighborhood near downtown Dallas. It is used for hockey, basketball and football games. It also hosts concerts and various other events. It serves as the home field for three sports teams including Dallas Stars (NHL), Dallas Mavericks (NBA) and Dallas Desperados (Arena Football League). The Center is also commonly referred to as “the AAC” or “the Hanger.” The latter nickname comes from the naming rights attained by American Airlines.

The arena was inaugurated on 17th July 2001 with the largest ribbon cutting ceremony as described in the Guinness Book of Records. The Center Operating Company, L.P. is the owner of this arena. For hockey, it has a standing room for 18,532 people and for basketball the seating capacity varies from 20,000 to 21,041 seats. It has been designed by David M. Schwarz Architectural Services of Washington D.C. The interior comprises of retractable seating and the place is considered a public art and a state-of-the-art technological arena.

An Eagles concert was the very first event that was organized in this arena. Then it conducted the last show of Michael Flatley's Feet of Flames tour the very next night. The first sporting event was organized on 19th August 2001 between the Dallas Sidekicks and San Diego Sockers in the World Indoor Soccer League. The Center also had the privilege of hosting the 55th National Hockey League All-Star Game on 24th January 2007.

Some of the notable concerts and events held at this arena include Britney Spears Dream Within a Dream Tour (22nd July, 2002), WWE Saturday Night Main Event (15th July, 2006), Shakira - Oral Fixation Tour (23rd September, 2006), Maná - Amar es Combatir Tour (7th September, 2007), Van Halen & Ky-Mani Marley - Van Halen North American Tour 2007 (26th January, 2008 to 24th April, 2008), WWE Night of Champions (29th June, 2008) and the list doesn't end here.
