1st Mariner Arena is the largest indoor sports and entertainment facility of Baltimore. The arena was inaugurated in the year 1962. It was earlier known as the Baltimore Arena and as the Baltimore Civic Center. But 1st Mariner Bank signed up a contract and gained the naming rights for this arena for ten years. The Bank itself has given the present name.

The arena is located at 201 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. The seating capacity of the Arena varies for different events. For instance, the seating capacity for hockey is 11,271 spectators, for basketball its 12,289 spectators and for concerts it can accommodate 14,000 spectators.
