U Melt
When you grab your tickets to see U-Melt live in concert, you better make sure you have the stamina to keep up with these guys. Apart from being one of the most hardworking bands on the jam circuit today, U-Melt has almost become synonymous with endurance and they have been known to plug away at their live concerts for hours on end, indulging in spontaneous improvisational jams that feed off of each of the members and just keep going and going. If you are going to see these bad boys perform live, you better make sure you can keep up with them.
U-Melt got together in 2003 and consists of Zac Lasher on keyboards, synth and vocals, Rob Salzer on guitar and vocals, George Miller on drums and vocals and Adam Bendy on bass and vocals. The boys had originally been part of two new bands, Head Monkey and a440. By coming together, U-Melt brought out a sound that melded funk, blues, rock and jazz into an organically progressive sound. The band has also garnered a name as being one of the hardest-working bands on the circuit- they have completed 300 shows in under three years, played two shows in two different states in January 2005 and were awarded the New Groove of the Month Award in 2006 from jambands.com.

Apart from their unique musical style, U-Melt has built a reputation for itself as being the band that never stops jamming. U-Melt has had the fortune to share the stage with members of moe, Strangefolk, The Disco Biscuits, Lotus and The Bridge.
