Celine Dion
Ty Stone was into music right form childhood, when he was 11 years old he purchased his first 4 track recorder and started making music. Ty would spend hours at a stretch in his parents' basement recording his best reproductions of the ‘Beastie Boy's and ‘The Fresh Prince'. Ty then mastered the art of playing different instruments and then started writing rock, country, and folk songs. In 1999, he formed his own band ‘2 Days Straight' and started playing live shows in Detroit. The band within no time garnered a faithful following and attracted the Nashville producer and writer ‘Blue Miller'.
Blue impressed by the band's talent brought them to Nashville, and produced their debut record ‘The Chrome Album'. The album exhibited Stone's powerful vocals over heavy blues guitar riffs. The album became a big local hit but failed to garner national attention. When the band was about to follow up their success, Ty was fired from his job at ‘Great Lakes Steel'. Initially Ty was distressed but he again managed to see the positive side of the situation. He saw it as a chance to break away from the family business and follow his dreams of a career in music. He shifted to Los Angeles, and began playing as a solo act. For two years he played every major venue in Los Angeles. Around this time he also came out with his maiden solo record ‘TCMFB' produced by Brian Irwin.
Ty and his new band opened several concerts in Los Angeles for Indie 103.1fm, and Ty's track ‘Beauty Queen', was played in full on the finale of ABC's ‘The Bachelorette'. As luck would have it, it was in Detroit where Ty found his next big break. Even before Stone could shop his new record, Kid Rock after hearing one of Stone's tapes signed him to a development deal with Top Dog records. ‘Ty Stone and the Truth' made an album with Kid Rock at his Clarkston, MI home over a period of one and half years. In order to garner a huge fan base Kid Rock appointed Ty to open for him in over 40 arena concerts for the ‘Live Trucker' tour. Stone is keenly concentrating on performing as well as developing his songwriting career. Stones' major recording is scheduled to appear in 2008.
