Trace's troubles did not stop after he signed the record deal. As his record sales began to drop in 1997 his life began to spiral out of control. Finally on July 5, 2001, Adkins was arrested for a DUI. His license was suspended and his life began to come back into order. He checked himself into a 28-day alcohol rehabilitation program in Nashville shortly after releasing Chrome in 2001 and was rewarded with a return to the charts and increased record sales. The country star struck back in late 2008 with the release of his new album X. The album has charted pretty well, peaking at number seven on the US Country charts and number 32 on the US Charts. The lead singles off the album are Muddy Water, Marry for Money, and All I Ask For Anymore have become radio mainstays. Trace Adkin's latest release brings in Blake Shelton for a duet for Hillbilly Bones. Apart from radio play, Trace Adkins has been busy making the television rounds. He appeared on the Glenn Beck show on Fox News on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Adkins already has appeared on Extreme Makeover on October 18 to help an injured policeman remake his home. Trace Adkins will begin the more traditional promotional road beginning on November 20, 2009 on the Shine All Night Tour at the i Wireless Center in Moline, IL. The tour is co-headlined by Adkins and Martina McBride, giving both sexes something to look at. The concerts are scheduled for 40 cities in North America for a schedule that will run through Spring 2010. Adkins will not appear at all the dates. Blake Shelton and The Lost Trailers will take his place for those few shows he misses. Get your Trace Adkins tickets through OnlineSeats and get great seats to see two country stars live on stage.
