Toby Keith Tickets for Sale
Despite a sharp decline in record sales, Toby Keith remains a true country superstar. The singer-songwriter remains held in such high regard as he continues to find himself on the road playing before sold out audiences. In the summer of 2013, these audiences will be purchasing Toby Keith tickets to enjoy him as a part of the Country Megaticket or his solo tour.
The Country Megaticket has him sharing the stage with the Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert. Not all of these performers will be at each and every show, but at least a few will be on hand at each scheduled stop for what is essentially a traveling country music festival. Toby Keith’s solo tour will feature Kip Moore as his opening act.
Keith is on the road, in part, to support his latest album, Hope on the Rocks. Expect a few tracks from this album to be included in the set list, though expect the majority to be taken from his long catalog of hits.
Toby Keith was born on July 8, 1961 in Clinton, Oklahoma and spent his childhood growing up in the American Southwest. Keith, from a very young, had an interest in both music and sports. Initially, he would play at his grandmother’s restaurant, Billie Garner’s Supper Club, while playing football through Junior High and High School. This is quite impressive, as balancing school, music, and sports certainly required incredible discipline.
This served him well in his career. Toby Keith tickets would likely not be available today if not for this ability to juggle the creative process and the time to perfect a song in the studio. Keith knew what he wanted and skipped college to continue a dual pursuit of music and sport.
Toby’s time as a player on a semi-professional football ended as he found more and more success on the honky tonk circuit in Oklahoma and Texas. He hit big on the national circuit after picking up and moving to Nashville in the early 1990s. Very soon after moving he signed a deal with PolyGram and Mercury Records. Under this label he released Toby Keith and Boomtown, both of which went platinum.
This success continued throughout the decade, with platinum and gold efforts from Blue Moon, Dream Walkin’, and How Do You Like Me Now?! Still, he truly became a superstar as the century turned. Suddenly, Toby Keith had multiplatinum albums Pull My Chain, Unleashed, and Shock’n Y’all. Songs from these albums (“I Wanna Talk About Me”, “Beer for My Horses”, and “Whiskey Girl”) became his staples of set lists for years to come.
Since this time, Toby Keith settled back into platinum and gold status and his songs managed to land in the Top 10 on the charts. Despite no longer being quite the force in terms of albums sales, the singer-songwriter maintains his popularity as a live artist. His tours take him across the United States with regularity, and he is more than happy to cross oceans to perform for the troops.
