Toadies Tickets for Sale

The Toadies burst onto the alternative scene in 1995 with the song Possum Kingdom. Their complete band history has them going back to 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas. The group began with Todd Lewis on vocals and guitar, Mark Reznicek on drums, Lisa Umbarger on bass, and Clark Vogeler on guitar. Since the band's beginning they have managed to find an audience willing to buy Toadies tickets, whether for their small local shows or their big national tours.

At first the group released nothing more than a few cassette singles and an E.P. called Pleather. The Toadies would eventually build a solid audience in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, resulting in a record contract with Interscope Records. The new label released the band's first full-length album, Rubberneck, in 1994. The Toadies would become most recognized for the song Possum Kingdom from the album. Four more singles had similar success, but not the lasting power and the band went on tour to sell Toadies tickets to support the album, opening for groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Zombie, and Bush.

The second studio attempt was Feeler, but the record label did not approve of the material and the group took a break before returning to the studio to save some songs from the album and release Hell Below/Stars Above in the spring of 2001. The album would be the Toadies last with Interscope Records. The album would also be the last before the group the Toadies broke up later that year.

The turbulent times were behind the group, so in 2006 the Toadies reunited. The reunited band played without Umbarger and helped sell tickets for a comeback show at Edgefest in Dallas and short tour that took the group through several old haunts in Houston, Austin, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The reunited group is not quite the original, but includes Lewis again on vocals and guitar, Reznicek again on drums, Clark Vogeler on guitar, and Doni Blair on bass. The Toadies released their third studio album, No Deliverance, in May in 2008 on the Kirtland record label. The band will tour in the spring of 2009 with 17 concerts scheduled between April 1 and May 19.
