The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is a beloved tale by Hans Christian Andersen that has been read to generations of children and seen and adored by millions as a Disney animated film. The tale of the Little Mermaid moves along and the often comical love story between the voice-less Ariel and the Prince is interrupted and ultimately leads to the sacrifice of her father to save her life. Love is abounding in the end, saving the day from ruin. Ursula is defeated, King Triton learns to let his daughter go, and Eric and Ariel find true love and peace together. The touching story will touch every member of the audience with tickets.
The Broadway stage version of the Little Mermaid is brought to life by a set design George Tsypin that uses translucent architecture to catch the light and give the feel of an adventure under the sea. The costumes are bright and colorful with the design by Tatiana Noginova, using wheel-heeled shoes to give the impression of the smooth, graceful flow of sea creatures. Tickets not only allow everybody to see the story of Ariel again, but also allow the audience to suspend their belief easily and accept the recreation of childhood wonder before them.
