Marnie (played by Cassie Beck) is a bride-to-be and her soon-to-be bridesmaids Melissa (played by Maria Dizzia) and Linda (played by Sue Jean Kim) have gone to the city for a final bachelorettes' night out. After quite a few syrupy drinks, they slip into conversation with Frank (played by Mike Colter) and his friend Eddie (played by Barrett Foa) in front of a club. Frank and Eddie are also out for a fun time and are completely drunk like the girls. They find out they're all from the same town, a fact that takes on great significance, as uninteresting little facts like that often do after a number of drinks. After a while, Marnie and Frank are seen kissing and then wander off to take their relationship to the next step. Melissa follows after them disgusted in the hopes of making Marnie see the error in betraying her fiancé, whom Melissa happened to previously date. Melissa drags along Eddie, who isn't interested in girls and is perfectly happy allowing Frank to have fun, and Linda, whose prior thoughts of the city's all-consuming perils hit a crucial note often characteristic of Bock's work, to help break up Frank and Marnie. Every character sobers up for the last scene where the amorous entanglements are finally brought to a hopeful, if not hung over, close.
