 The show stars American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis, who was nominated for a Tony for his performance. Also starring is Broadway vet and Tony-nominee Kerry Butler, who recently was in Xanady on Broadway, and was the original Penny in Hairspray. The show started in Los Angeles in 2006, and then transferred off-Broadway to New World Stages in 2008. It received very good reviews, and transferred to Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in 2009. Taking everyone by surprise, the show received very good reviews and started selling out. Soon after, the show got nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical (Kristin Hanggi), Best Costume Design (Gregory Gale), and Best Sound Design (Peter Hylenski). A feature film is even in the works, and ticket sales are stronger than ever. The songs that are featured include, "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin", "Can't Fight This Feeling", "I Wanna Rock", and "High Enough".
