The four agents and the supervisor work together for selling undesirable real estate at high prices. The time in the play is end of a month. The bosses of the company Mitch and Murray have announced a 'sales contest'. According to the contest a salesman who is able to clear a certain high dollar amount will be the winner of a Cadillac while the two salesman with worst figures will be fired. Roma is salesperson with best figures while the other three are feeling the heat.

On 25th March 1984 it was performed on Broadway at the John Golden Theater. The play was directed by Gregory Mosher. The play was nominated for many categories of Tony Award including for the director Gregory Mosher. Joe Mantegna who played role of Richard Roma won the Best Featured Actor Award.
