Frost/Nixon has been written by Peter Morgan, a British dramatist and screenwriter. The story of the play consists of series of interviews, conducted by David Frost and which was shown in television. Frost had interviewed the then disgraced Richard Nixon in 1977. In this interview, Nixon had admitted about his role in the Watergate scandal, though Frost had to coax and prod him a lot. The play was first premiered at the Donmar Warehouse theater in London in the year 2006. The play was directed by Michael Grandage. The role was played by Michael Sheen as the talk-show host and Frank Langella as the former president. The play was critically acclaimed and received favorable reviews in the British press. Currently, the play is being showed at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End. Peter Morgan was born April 10, 1963 in London. He is most popular for writing about The Deal. It was a drama that was shown in television in 2003. In the drama, it tells about the power-sharing deal between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. The deal was struck in the Granita restaurant in London. Another best known drama was "The Queen" that was shown in the year 2006. The drama was later turned into a movie starring Helen Mirren. In this drama, Morgan tried to portray about the effect that the death of Princess Diana had on the British royal family. The play won him the best screenplay award at the Venice Film Festival and Dame Helen Mirren won the best actress award. In the same year the first play of Morgan Frost/Nixon was staged at the Donmar Warehouse theatre in London. The role in Frost/Nixon was played by Michael Sheen as David Frost and Frank Langella as Richard Nixon. The play was directed by Michael Grandage . The play became quite popular and also received favorable reviews.
