The play captures the experiences of a biracial schoolgirl Doris, who transforms into a famous pop-star. After she gets molded into a pop-star by a whiz-kid record producer, she is named Darlene. The play moves further when the producer starts gathering the hit numbers from "Liebestod", an album of Richard Wagner to reinvent the feel of the candy-colored era of 1860s. Wagner's melodious lyrics are supposed to become Darlene, our lead character's hit songs. The twist in the tale occurs when a teenager tries to spoil the feel of the candy-color ambiance. His obsession for Darlene's music and towards his own music teacher seems to be the turning point in the play. A single song of Darlene creates an undesired harmony and this time-jumping fairy tale experiences all the emotions attached to dreams and disasters that follow in a queue.
