Cosi fan tutte meaning "Women are like that" is an drama by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The plot is based on the theme of "Fiancee swapping" and testing the love of the fiancee. It is set in the 18th century and they have managed to recreate the settings and costumes of the bygone era satisfactorily. The story revolves round the main characters Dorabella and Fiordiligi –the two sisters -who are in love and are engaged to the two smart officers Ferrando and Guglielmo. The officers are equally in love with them and are proclaiming their love and faithfulness for their beloved when Don Alfonso arrives on the scene and challenges them that their women as all other women can be seduced. The rest of the story is about trying to get the two women to like two other charming men(the officers themselves disguised) while they are made to believe that the officers are on military duty and have gone to fight a war. The efforts to try and seduce the two women and how Alfonso in the end wins the challenge and proves that all women are the same is the story of the play. The play ends on a happy note inspite of all the problems and misunderstandings.
