Wintuk is the newest show of Cirque du Soleil. The show is about a boy called Wintuk, and his pursuit of snow and adventure. Wintuk along with his three friends, travel to an imaginary place, Arcitic- a world without sunlight. They come across the rich culture of the People of the North and extraordinary giant characters made of ice. At the end they fly back home, when the sun returns. It will be showcased by 50 performers. This family-friendly adventure has been fashioned solely for the, Theater at Madison Square Garden. For the next four years, the show will run for 10 weeks each winter. The show has been produced by Cirque du Soleil, MSG Entertainment, and BASE Entertainment. Richard Blackburn, the artistic director of Le Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur in Upton, Quebec has directed the show. Fernand Rainville, co-director of the bilingual Montreal production of Les Misérables is the director of creation. The show is for 90 minutes with 20 minutes of intermission.
