Accomplice is a refreshingly inventive play written by Rupert Holmes. He is the imaginative playwright of the Tony Award-winning 1986 musical, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." In that the audience had to complete the tale that was left without an ending because of the death of its original author, Charles Dickens.
For Accomplice, The Mystery Writers of America gave Rupert Holmes, the coveted Edgar Award (the "Oscar" of crime literature). Holmes also received a Best Play Tony nomination for his Broadway hit Say Goodnight, Gracie, which also won him the National Broadway Theater Award for Best Play 2004.
