The Xx Tickets for Sale
British indie pop group the XX is a musical mystery. They are known and celebrated for stripping arrangements to the very core, for preferring the slow steady beat of a drum machine to an actual drummer, and for haunting vocals from Romy Croft and bassist Oliver Sim. Now the xx tickets are available for a new promotional tour in support of Coexist, the group’s second album.
The group has been together since the middle of the 21st century’s first decade, originally a duo of Oliver Sim and Romy Madley-Croft. They met in arts school Elliott School, soon adding guitarist Baria Qureshi and remix artist Jamie Smith to complete this early version of the group. It did not take long for the quartet to release its self-titled debut album, which has been heaped with critical praise. Much of the praise has been that of a theoretical discussion of the nature of music in relationship to the xx’s minimalist tendencies. However, most fans have come to appreciate that same sound simply it is versatile. Played alone in an intimate room it can be introspective and played in a larger space it becomes almost like an anthem begging more action.
The xx’s biggest hits from the album are “Crystalised” and “VCR”. Coexist, the new album, has been released to universal acclaim, this time inspiring critics to celebrate any even less jumbled sound, as evident on singles “Angels” and “Chained” and on the YouTube videos. Croft and Sims once again act in perfect harmony together and Jamie’s production prowess has been deemed undeniable. A tour has followed and will keep the group busy touring through theUK, continental Europe, and mid-sized venues in theUnited States. There will certainly be xx tickets associated with summer festival dates in large open air arenas, but the band is perhaps best experienced in an intimate theater.
