The Head and The Heart Tickets for Sale

The Head and the Heart are on the road for the rest of the summer in 2012 from now in July until November 2, 2012, when they play a set at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas. Most of the time will spent on a headlining concert with Blitzen Trapper and Bryan John Appleby supporting the Seattle indie folk rock outfit. The Head and the Heart tickets are on sale now to see this exciting group as they hit up every indie venue from coast to coast.

The group's live act has been commended for being more than just another indie folk band. There are plenty of those around. Instead, as Curtis Schieber of the Columbus Dispatch attests, The Head and the Heart take mellow up a notch, giving the live performance a pop not necessarily expected. Yes, these guys can harmonize and the lyrics are written with phenomenal skill and introspection. However, those are reasons to purchase the debut album. The reason to see this band lie is because they know they have to add a bit of bite to the live show, adding a little bit of an up tempo swing.

In the summer of 2009 Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell began what would become The Head and the Heart. Within the next year Charity Rose Thielen, Chris Zasche, Kenny Hensley, and Tyler Williams joined and completed the group. That same year, the Head and the Heart signed with Sub Pop Records. They arrived at this staple of indie rock as a band sounding like a fusion of Mumford and Sons and fellow Seattle folk rockers Fleetwood Foxes. In the years that have passes, they have built a reputation touring with Vampire Weekend, The Walkmen, Dr. Dog, Dave Matthews, and The Decembrists.

By 2011, Seattle City Arts Magazine deemed the group Seattle's Best New Band. As the new best new band, they released a self-titled debut. The debut album has crept up the charts, landing on the Billboard 200. The singles "Down in the Valley" and "Rivers and Roads" made an impact by hitting the indie radio station playlist and getting a little support from television, with a live appearance on Conan and the use of the second song on episodes of Chuck and How I Met Your Mother. Now they are touring and The Heart and the Head tickets are available at OnlineSeats to see this collection of talent live.
