The Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour 2007
It is hard to remember, in this age of mundanity, that people sometimes, become celebrated because they deserve to be famous. He was a singer who sang and got very famous because he was smitten by people as being so PHENOMENAL. What made him superbly talented and fantastic, was how he broke down musical barriers. Though he's hailed as "The King of Rock and Roll," that's a bit of reputation, he should have been called the liberator. Elvis portrayed a small-town boy, born at the right time, in the right place, in the right environment and under the right circumstances, to erupt as a king of all the musical currents of America's subcultures: black and white gospel, country and Western, and rhythm & blues.

Ryan Pelton : The unearthly resemblance to the young Elvis of the 50's is none other than of Ryan Pelton! Ryan Pelton is an international award-winning Elvis entertainer. He has performed with the Jordanaires who, along with the joking and bantering between them and superb authentic re-creations of the vocals and stage presence -had the perfect illusion presented!
Donny Edwards : A versatile performer with the uncanny ability to re-enact each era of Elvis Presley's life. He is propulsive as he brings you back to the early years of the 50's with his Gold Lame jacket and songs of the movie years, to the sexy, black leather '68 Comeback years, as he ends with the known Vegas years. Donny sustains a performance of astounding authenticity. His fabulous look, singing, charm and southern speaking voice will make you feel like you are with the King.
Rick Saucedo began his singing career in 1972 at the age of seventeen and people began to take notice of this young talented "Elvis impersonator". In 1977, Rick performed at the Cabaret in Winnipeg, Canada. From there he was asked to star in the Broadway play; "The Legend Lives On" in 1978. As well as singing, Rick plays the guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and sitar etc. Fans enjoy the balance between Rick's immaculate Elvis style as well as his own original talent he integrates in his shows.
Shawn Klush has surfaced as the nation's top Elvis tribute artist. Raised in the small coal-mining town of Pittston, Pennsylvania, Shawn's love for music led him to begin imitating his musical idol, Elvis Presley. He performed in the famous Poconos region followed by a tour of Canada where he entered and won the $5,000.00 prize in the Worldwide Elvis Competition, in Montreal. In 2006 Shawn was chosen by Graceland to headline Elvis Presley Enterprises, first ever Tribute Artist Showcase in Memphis TN. Shawn Klush transcends the thrilling magic of Elvis to the stage. Shawn is, "The Closest Thing to the King in Concert."
The Sweet Inspirations are a rocking female vocal group from New York City, who made their mark throughout the early to mid-Sixties is without any challenge. In 1968, they'd begun working with the legendary Elvis Presley as both background singers and his warm-up act, as well as doing occasional ‘live' dates with Aretha Franklin. In 1973, original members Estelle, Myrna, and Sylvia recording a one-off, excellent album for Stax Records in Memphis. They got together in 1994 to perform on selected shows (including a tribute to Elvis Presley), the original trio of Estelle, Myrna and Sylvia haven't recorded in 21 years but this collection fills an obvious void in the R&B reissue world, an experience of the spine-tingling musical harmony that made The Sweet Inspirations a matchless vocal team.

Artist Biography - The Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour 2007
|
Elvis Presley was the sterling cultural physical phenomenon in the 20th century. A gregarious revolution, he changed everything, from music to language to fashion. Even 30 years after his death, his voice goes on to astound those, who have spent most of their lives listening to it with its exponent, reach and significance but above all, with its very credibility. Elvis was an adventurer of music, who gave us some of the greatest songs ever. A time has come to put Elvis where he belongs with the greatest artists of the last century and not just with the greatest musicians and singers.
With respect to Presley's enormous cultural impact, as a man and legend, Presley enlivens a dedication so intense, that is purportedly covetous to others. Now many singers give a tribute to him by professionally "recreating" Elvis. Matt Lewis beholds the fans in Vegas and, none other than sexy Ann-Margret, Elvis' co-star in Viva Las Vegas, once united with Lewis onstage. Donny Edwards was floored with compliments from Presley's road manager, Al Devorin, who "had chills" watching Edwards' show. Shawn Klush depicted him on CBS' Shake, Rattle & Roll mini-series, and has performed with Presley's crew. Now imagine all three Elvi performing on the Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour 2007, hosted by D.J. Fontana, the King's original drummer and featuring the Sweet Inspirations, who sang on the classic "Suspicious Minds." well......just one word, WOW!!!
