The Darkness was formed in England, and comprised of band members with Justin Hawkins as frontman/vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist, Frankie Poullain as bassist (Justin's brother), and drummer Ed Graham. Hard Rock is the main element which is concentrated by the band. Their songs focused on the rhythms of late ' 70s.

This band was formed on the occasion of New Year's Eve in the year of 1999. However, they released Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" which led their way to stardom. Although, initial years of the group were struggling, as they used to perform at the London's pub circuit, they finally paved their way to reach to the ladder of success. By now the band became one of the most famous and renowned in the industry.

Artist Biography - The Darkness

An EP was released in August 2002, which titled "I Believe in a Thing Called Love." The EP was a huge hit as it was liked by numerous audience all over the nation. Participating in talent competitions was yet another thing in which they were involved actively. With this the band got many opportunities to work with renowned bands such as Deep Purple and Def Leopard. However, another album titled "One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back" was released in the year of 2005.
