The tour is not officially known as the El Camino tour, but that is how fans will think of the upcoming concert schedule. El Camino is the seventh studio album from the Black Keys. It became available for the rabid fans on December 6, 2011 and will debut near the top of the charts and be the second Black Keys album to be certified in the United States. So far the group has released one single from the album, "Lonely Boys". "Lonely Boys" topped the Billboard Alternative Songs charts and reached number 69 on the Billboard 200.
The Black Keys new album is the third to utilize the studio controller talents of Brian Burton, better known as Danger Mouse. It delivers a pop blues-rock album that remains pleasing to the ear, yet manages to keep the original spirit alive with Auerback's signature blues growl. This should be a pleasing album for all Black Keys fans, old or new.
The Black Keys began as nothing more than a little project for guitarist and lead singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. They took their name from the voice mails left by a common friend who happened to refer to their fathers as black keys. The group released its first album, The Big Come Up, in 2002. With that first independent album, the Black Keys announced their presence to the rock world.
Soon Black Keys songs began to find their way onto movie soundtracks and even television shows. The gritty lyrics to songs like "She Said, She Said", "I'll Be Your Man", "Tighten Up", and "Hard Row" were utilized for the movie RocknRolla and television shows Hung and Sons of Anarchy.
The subsequent albums climbed the charts a little at a time with each release. Attack & Release reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 and Brothers reached number three on the charts. Brothers also proved to be the first certified album for the group, reaching Gold in the U.S., Platinum in Canada, and Silver in the UK.Now the Black Keys are a commercially successful and a critically acclaimed blues rock band. They are also releasing another studio album, El Camino, and are taking to the road again. OnlineSeats has the Black Keys tickets to see them in concert.
