'The Alternate Routes', one of the famous young rock bands of the U.S.A., originated from the Bridgeport, a famous city of Connecticut. In 2002, it was established by Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly, who were then mere students of the Fairfield University. Presently, the band consists of five members. They are- Stephen Chopek, Tim Warren, Mike Sembos, Chip Johnson and Eric Donnelly. Stephen Chopek is the drummer and Tim Warren is the lead vocalist of the band. Besides, Tim is also an expert acoustic guitarist. Mike Sembos plays the rhythm guitar and he also handles the keyboard too. While Chip Johnson is the bassist and back vocalist, it is Eric Donnelly, who is the main guitarist of the band.
In 2005, the band released its debut album entitled 'Good and Reckless and True' in Nashville, which turned out as a super hit. Critic told that the album was consecrated to the memory of Eric Donnelly's parents, who were brutally murdered in a robbery on 2nd February, 2005. This album brought this band to the limelight. Even, it was rated by the 'Bullz.Eye.com' in its 'Top Album of 2005. This album included the song 'Ordinary', which was selected as the best song in the 'Pop/Rock Category' at the 'Independent Music Awards' in 2006. Later, it was featured on various episodes of MTV. After that, the band released some famous single songs, which were turned out as massive hits. The singles are : 'Endless Conversation', 'Are You Lonely?', 'Who Cares?' and 'Aftermath'. Its latest single, 'Aftermath', was featured on MTV's 'Laguna Beach'. All of them still have a high demand in the market.
In 2007, the band re-released its previous album, 'Good and Reckless and True' from the 'Vanguard Records', one of the leading recording companies of the U.S.A. Though it was released earlier, but this time again, its copies sold millions. On 10th April, 2007, 'The Alternate Routes' performed 'Time is a Runaway' on 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien', an Emmy Award winning late night talk show, syndicated worldwide
