2005 Season Preview

 The traditional Press Conference took place last Tuesday at the Méridien Beach Plaza of Monaco. It launched the 2005 edition of the Masters Series Monte-Carlo, which will take place this year from the 9 to 17 April. At this occasion, in partnership with the Press Centre of Monaco, some 60 journalists were invited by Mr. Franulovic, the new Tournament Director. Together they presented the 99th edition that, once again, will delight tennis lovers.
At the prestigious site of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, Guillermo Coria will defend his title. Will he manage to achieve this exploit when fearsome challengers such as Roger Federer who became the king of the ATP circuit in 2004, Andy Roddick, Carlos Moya, Lleyton Hewitt are present ? This year, the draw will take place on Saturday 9 April, 2005 and will determine the Main Draw with its top 64 world players.
From the 9 to 17 April 2005, the Monte- Carlo Country Club will be lending its sumptuous setting , between mountain and sea, to the Tennis Masters Monte-Carlo. As every year, most of the major world players will be present at this major event, which traditionally opens the clay season in Europe to end two months later with Roland Garros. Over the last few years, the stars in Monte-Carlo have gone on to shine in Paris.
