Dent was a singles semifinalist at the 2004 Olympic Summer Games in Athens. On the ATP circuit, he reached the finals at Tokyo, the semifinals at Adelaide and Nottingham and the quarterfinals at Madrid. He owns four ATP career singles titles, in 2002 at Newport and in 2003 at Memphis, Bangkok and Moscow.
After missing the 2003 season due to injury, Haas bounced back strong in 2004, winning titles at Los Angeles and Houston. He advanced to the quarterfinals at the U.S. Open, his second-best Grand Slam singles result. He reached the semifinals at Stockholm and Vienna and the quarterfinals at Halle and Cincinnati. He owns seven ATP career singles titles.

 Every year they come to the Valley of the Sun. It may not be Wimbledon or the U.S. Open, but the male professionals of the tennis world enjoy coming to Scottsdale, Arizona each winter to compete in a tennis event that is part of the ATP tour. In 2005, from February 21st through February 27th, the men will play in the Arizona Men's Tennis Classic. This year's field, competing for about $400,000, will include last year's champion Vince Spadea along with Mark Philippoussis, James Blake, Taylor Dent, and Tommy Haas, just to name a few. This event used to be known as the Franklin Templeton Tennis Classic.
The Arizona Men's Tennis Classic will be held at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in North Scottsdale. The Stadium seats only 5,400 people, so all seats are good seats. Defending champion Vincent Spadea, former champion Mark Philippoussis, James Blake, Taylor Dent and Tommy Haas are among the leading early entries for the Arizona Men's Tennis Classic, Feb. 21-27, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
Spadea broke through for his first ATP career singles title last year at Scottsdale. He defeated Blake, Andy Roddick and Nicolas Kiefer, all in three sets, in his last three matches to take the title. He enjoyed his finest season in 2004, reaching the finals at Delray Beach, the semifinals at Lyon and Miami and the quarterfinals at Auckland, Newport, Adelaide and Rome.
