Tegan And Sarah Tickets
Born on September 19, 1980 in Calgary, Alberta, Tegan and Sara were interested in music right from their childhood. The twins started playing piano when they were just eight years old and when they reached their teens they started dancing around in their own punk bands. In 1997 the twins recorded two demo albums ‘Who's in Your Band?' and ‘Play Day' in their school's recording studio. In 1998, the sisters participated in the Garage Warz Battle of the Bands and came out victorious. That moment was a big turning point in the sisters' life. The twins inked a recording deal with Neil Young's Vapor Records in April 2000. The sisters then came out with their maiden album ‘This Business of Art', which was produced by singer/songwriter Hawksley Workman. The sisters then hit the road with Neil Young to support their album. The twins have toured with artists like Rufus Wainwright, The Pretenders, Ben Folds, The Killers, Rachael Cantu, Vivek Shraya, Cake, Gogol Bordello, Hot Hot Heat, Ryan Adams,Veda Hille, Little Birdy, Iron On, Little Brazil, Bryan Adams and Weeze. The sisters continued to tour extensively to expand their fan base, wherever they performed they were received with enthusiasm. In 2002 Tegan and Sara came out with their album ‘If It Was You' which was followed by ‘So Jealous' in 2004. Tegan and Sara's song ‘Walking with a Ghost' was covered by The White Stripes in 2005. The sisters have performed individually too, Tegan has provided backing vocals for ‘The Alphabet' by Vivek Shraya, ‘Never Give Up' by Melissa Ferrick, ‘La Le La La' by Kinnie Starr, ‘Hey Kids' by David Usher, ‘Borne on the FM Waves of the Heart' by Against Me!, and ‘Saturday' by Rachael Cantu. Sara too has worked with other artists in their albums. The Twins have been featured in shows like Vicki Gabereau's Canadian talk show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Brad Tv, Sonic Temple, Jonovision, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.
Tegan and Sara's song have been featured on several soundtracks of movies and television shows like Monster-in-Law and Sweet November, Grey's Anatomy, The L Word Season 3 and Veronica Mars Season 2.
