Sweet Mickey or Michel Martelly, born in Port-au-Prince is one of the musical genius who has marked his name in the world of Haitian compas music. The release of his album "I Don't Care" in the year 1994 with its tile title song was a huge hit around the New York city. Yet another song "Don't Touch" became one of the most wanted song on radio as well as on the dance floors. For Mickey, success was rolling in consistently with hits coming in instantly one by one. He gave smashing performances in the all through U.S, Haiti, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.
His other hit releases were "Aloufa" in the year 1997, "100,000 volts" in 1998 and "Sissi" in 2001, that got appreciation through out the world. Mickey came up with another release "Knowledge is Power" in the year 1997 ,which was an educational album, making people aware that his music music is continuous and positive. The album was released in the interest of public regarding social issues like HIV AIDS which is killing the society as whole.
