Spokane Symphony Tickets for Sale

The Spokane Symphony earlier known as ‘Spokane Philharmonic' is a seventy-piece orchestra from Spokane, WA; it performs more than sixty concerts every year for more than 150,000 listeners.
The symphony was started as the Spokane Philharmonic in 1945; it became the Spokane Symphony Society in 1962. It is a non-profit organization, which is regulated by a 40-member volunteer Board of Trustees. More than 300 member Spokane Symphony Associates also backs the Symphony, the Orchestra's volunteer organization. The Spokane Symphony holds the distinction of being one of the largest and most active professional performing arts organizations in the Inland Pacific Northwest.Apart from performing for more than 150,000 listeners each season, the Symphony allows for a wide variety of special educational experiences. The orchestra showcases critically acclaimed performances having some of the world's most esteemed soloists.

The regular season of the Symphony features a 10-concert Classics series, six SuperPops performances at the Spokane Opera House, and three pairs of chamber orchestra concerts at the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center. A two concert series is also organized at the North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The very popular Chamber Soiree Series is organized at the Davenport Hotel's beautiful Marie Antoinette Room. In the 2003-2004 season, the Youth Exploration Series - Symphony YES!, was premiered. Apart from concerts, the Symphony also performs many educational and family-oriented programs including free outdoor park concerts at Comstock Park and Liberty Lake. Under its outreach program, Classics and Met concerts are aired on 91.1 KPBX-FM.

The Spokane Symphony is committed to educating new audiences. Under this program, Symphony musicians perform and coach students in area public schools. Many a times free music education resources and concert tickets are given to schools and community centers, to encourage them to develop a taste for classical music. In 2001 the Symphony's educational program took the Junior Chamber Artists Program under its wings. A lunchtime and pre-concert series of informal discussions with guest artists is organized, in order to further the enthusiasm and appreciation for classical music.
