Southern Illinois Salukis Tickets for Sale

There are strong guns in the backcourt with 6'-3' senior guard Darren Brooks (16 ppg, 5.7 rpg), along with 6'-3' senior Stetson Hairston (9 ppg), both of whom started last year. Throw in sophomore guard Jamaal Tatum (7.8 ppg) and there's plenty of offensive firepower and depth in the backcourt.

Up front, 6'-5' senior LaMar Owen (8 ppg, 4 rpg) works the glass, along with 6'-8', 250-lb senior Josh Warren (7.5 rpg), who is good at banging the boards. Freshman 6'-9' Jamaal Foster and 6'-7' Matt Shaw provide depth. Southern Illinois was 14-2 SU at home (though 7-9 ATS) and 11-3 SU/10-3 ATS on the road! They had a 64-59 loss to NC Charlotte as Hairston had 15 points, 6 boards. This is the team to beat in the Missouri Valley Conference again.
The best team in the MVC? The Southern Illinois Salukis - again. This team has won 3 straight league titles and is off a 25-5 campaign. This is nothing new, either: Southern Illinois has gone 25-5, 24-7, and 28-7 (2001-02) the last three years. Coach Chris Lowery is in his first year at Southern Illinois and has plenty of talented tools to work with.
