Solange Tickets for Sale

Solange, born June 24, 1986, is more than Beyonce's little sister. She is an individual artist with a history and life all her own. She married at a young age, had a child, divorced, and struggled to emerge from the shadow cast by Beyonce's successes. She has found inspiration in the music of Motown and British pop. The Supremes, The Marvelettes, Martha Reeves, and Dusty Springfield have had much more to do with her musical sense than Beyonce. Solange tickets may look a lot like Beyonce tickets, but this Knowles performer has established herself as an individual artist ready to take the R&B genre for her own.

She dreamed of being a singer as a little child and, despite her parents trying to dissuade her, she plunged head first into the difficult career from the start. At the age of she debuted singing at an amusement park, began writing her own songs at the age of nine, and made the final decision to pursue a recording career at the age of 13. Her father, her manager and the manager of Destiny's Child at the time, put Solange in Kelly Rowland's place temporarily after Rowland broke her toe. When rumors persisted that Solange would join Destiny's Child in 2004, they were quickly dispelled. Solange wanted to sell tickets as a solo artist, not as Beyonce's little sister.

Her first album, Solo Star, was released 2003 after a couple years of recording and working on the songs with producers like Jermaine Dupri, The Neptunes, Linda Perry, and Timbaland. The up-tempo R&B sound touched on a number of influences, including pop, rock, reggae, and hip hop. The album received mixed reviews that often mentioned that the singer seemed to be lost behind the grand concept. Tickets for the promotional tour did not sell as well as Solange had hoped.

In 2008, Solange returned with the album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams. The direction on the album seemed to learn from the overreaching mistake of her debut record and seemed to star an artist who had life experience and not just star aspirations. The album again had a myriad of producers, but Solange took control and defined the concept, a collection of original songs that were influenced by the 1960s and the 1970s. Critics praised the album and gave it superior reviews when compared to her debut. Solange began selling tickets for the promotional tour, Solange Presents Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dream Tour.

The tour will start in England in late 2008. OnlineSeats will have the Solange tickets for the tour with great prices on the views throughout the seating chart.
