Middlesbrough Football Club is an English professional football club that is based in Middlesbrough, in North-East England. The club is commonly known as Boro and plays in the Premier League. Middlesbrough Cricket team formed the club and after the team participated for two seasons they were promoted to the First Division and maintained their position for 22 years. The club reached League and FA cup finals in 1996-97 season and landed up as the runners up in the League Cup.
