The frontcourt looks deeper, too, with 6'-10' junior Chris Ayer (6 ppg, 5.5 rpg), sophomore Daryl Pegram and 6'-6' junior John Haywood. While many young teams are good at home and weak on the road, notice that Loyola was competitive last season going 8-6 SU/4-8 ATS at home, and 7-8 SU, 7-6 ATS on the road.

They had a 69-66 loss at UCLA in OT last season where Brown had 17 points and they held UCLA to 31% shooting! Notice they were 8-4 under the total last season.

The Loyola Marymount Lions (15-14 SU, 11-14-2 ATS) are still a young team with only one senior on the roster (guard Charles Brown). Brown averaged 11.5 points and 3.8 assists last season. He's a fine defensive player who led the WCC in steals two years ago.

The backcourt has more depth this season with freshman shooting guard Jon Ziri, Australian guard Damian Martin, and 6'-2' sophomore Brandon Worthy. Worthy earned a medical redshirt last season after suffering a broken hand in exhibition play a year ago. As a sophomore, Worthy averaged 11 points per game while shooting 45.7% from the field.
